Join us for a session co-presented with one of our High School ESL classroom teachers, who co-teaches Algebra 1! This session will share effective strategies for supporting the diverse needs of Multi Language Learners (MLLs) in the mathematics classroom. We will explore practical ways to put culturally responsive pedagogy into practice, including strategies for building background knowledge and vocabulary, the effective use of manipulatives, visuals, and technology, all to support MLLs' understanding. Participants will gain practical strategies for differentiation and fostering a collaborative learning environment that supports the mathematical success of all students.
